Optimising Your Health Through Nutrition

A healthy and happy family

Do you have one or more of these symptoms?

Poor digestion, bloating, bad breath, fatigue, muscle aches and pains, premenstrual syndrome, headaches, anxiety and depression. Have they been occurring for so long that it feels like they’re just a part of normal, everyday life?  Would you like to get to the bottom of them?

Nutritional Therapy is a science-based health-care practice that doesn’t deal with symptoms in isolation but addresses the underlying cause of symptoms.  It is a form of medicine that enables the body to self-heal thereby increasing its’ resistance to disease. It involves treating the person as a whole and taking into consideration their past and family history and any diet and lifestyle factors that may be having an influence on their health. For instance,  many of the foods we eat today are deficient in nutrients and even eating a well-balanced diet  may not provide enough nutrients for the body and mind to function correctly.  In addition to this, factors such as stress, alcohol, caffeine and smoking can further deplete nutrients.  A Nutritional Therapist takes these kind of things into consideration and puts together an individual nutritional programme that fits in with a person’s life and meets their particular goals.

Nutritional therapy is suitable for adults and children of all ages and may help with a whole range of issues such as:

  • Irritable bowel syndrome and other digestive disorders
  • Female health concerns such as PMS, PCOS, endometriosis and fibroids
  • Fertility and pre-conceptual care
  • Skin disorders such as acne, eczema, dry skin and psoriasis
  • Allergies and food intolerances
  • Fatigue and depression
  • Autism spectrum disorders
  • Cardiovascular health
  • Weight loss and weight gain
  • Improving sports performance
  • Healthy Ageing
  • Enhancing overall health

In offering Nutritional Therapy, I have one main aim:
To optimise your health by providing you with safe and effective nutritional recommendations in a warm and friendly environment.
